I’ve always wanted to have a beehive and after installing the green roof at our new home,  I decided it was time to try! We had many bees flying around the blooming star sedum on the green roof, so my husband and I put our ideas into action.  We have a flat roof and decided the roof would provide a protected environment for the hives and minimize any interference with our neighbors.  Below are some photos of the bees at our home, including their package arrival via USPS mail service.  I’ve also posted some photos of the honey harvest and recent bee activity at the house!  We now have five bee hives and are trying not to get any more
